What is a Eligible Consumer? Who can be a Eligible Consumer?
Subscribers which consume the minimum energy quantity determined by EMRA and supplying energy from the supply company of preference with discount upon undersigning discount electricity supply agreement are called Eligible Consumers.
Subscribers which have consumed electricity equal to or higher than 2400 kWh within the past twelve months for 2017 (between January 01st, 2017 – December 31st, 2017) (paying monthly bills equal to or higher than TL 82) are entitled with the right of becoming a Eligible Consumer with the resolution of Electricity Market Regulatory Authority.
Which documents are needed for Eligible Consumer Subscription procedures? What shall I do?
Copy of the identity certificate and one electricity bill pertaining to the previous periods are sufficient for real persons (individuals).
Copy of the tax chart, list of authorized signatures, copy of the identity certificate and electricity bill pertaining to the previous periods are required for legal entities (corporations). It is sufficient to undersign the Subscriber Agreement and Form IA-02. All other procedures will be carried out by us.
What are the basic rights of a Eligible Consumer?
Subscribers who exceed the Eligible Consumer limit are entitled to become a Eligible Consumer. Eligible Consumers can supply energy any energy supply company of preference pursuant to the bilateral agreement. Received service is not interrupted if the Eligible Consumer terminates the relationship with the company it supplied energy from. It continues to receive electricity from the authorized supplier over the national tariffs approved by the authority. If the consumers which are within scope of Eligible Consumer exercise their right to make supplier choice, electricity meters which are not suitable for the consumers are replaced within the concerning month by the distribution company. Having incompatible electricity meter and failure to replace it does not prevent the subscriber to exercise the right of making supplier choice.
Is the relationship with the distribution company in the region completely terminated if electricity is supplied from Akfen? Whom I shall contact with for cases of electricity meter reading, failure, maintenance and outages?
Pursuant to the concerning legislation reading, maintenance, repair etc. services regarding the electricity meters will still be performed by the distribution company in that region.
Do electricity subscription transfer procedure require any additional cost?
